Summer Update from Principal Morisi!

July 2024

Dear Bay Ridge Catholic Academy Families,

We hope that you and your families are enjoying some rest and relaxation during these Summer months, and especially on these hot days we have been experiencing. Our students worked so hard this past year. This is certainly a well deserved break!

Although Summer is a time for rest, BRC has been very busy working on some exciting projects. We wanted to take the time to give our families an update!

  1. Our bulletproof main entry has been completed. We thank all of you for your support as we continue to keep all of us at BRC as safe as possible. Frankelly has also been working on renovating the vestibule area. Feel free to check it out when you are passing by!
  2. The Air-conditioning project is almost completed. We are happy to announce that in September, each classroom will have brand new HVAC units to keep all of our students and teachers cool as they begin the 2024-2025 academic year. There is still time to donate to this building upgrade. If you would like, please submit donations here.

  3. A new Science Lab is in the works! Our team has been working hard this Summer to put together a new Science Lab, which we believe will not only complement our existing STEM and Technology Labs, but will also provide a space where students can best prepare for the updated NYS Science Exams in 5th and 8th grade.

  4. As a reminder, as you know, BRC will provide Summer work for our students. BRC Summer work can be found through this link. Please note the work here is for the grade your child is rising into. For example the assignments under 1st grade are for those students who will be in 1st grade in September. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our teachers. Also, please check here for an updated supply list.

The 2024-2025 academic year promises to be an exciting one for all of us here at Bay Ridge Catholic Academy. We thank you for your partnership and support as we educate and form your children. Please pray for us, as we will continue to pray for you.

God bless,

Paul Morisi
